Reds vs Pirates

Yes the Pirates probably are sending their best starter out there with JT Brubaker. Brubaker pitched very well against the Padres offense with Tatis Jr, Hosmer, and Machado. Held them to just two runs. However the Padres offense has been struggling the Reds offense is not at all. The Reds offense put up 14 last night on the Pirates. Not confident in Reds starter Jeff Hoffman his above 4 ERA showed last time out against the White Sox in a 9-0 loss. Trust the Reds offense to get the win against a Pirates team that could be the worst offensive team in the league. 


Phillies vs Nats 

ML Phillies +108

Over 9


We have a lot to get through on this bet because it’s an odd one to be honest. So both the Nationals and Phillies are really bad against right handed pitching this season. The Nationals will get Juan Soto back on Tuesday but besides him and Trea Turner Phillies pitching doesn’t have much to worry about. However Phillies pitcher Chase Anderson is having maybe the worst year he’s had yet. His 5.37 ERA is a career high in May for Anderson. They’ve won both games he was out there even with struggles. Bet Anderson and Phillies get by Nats. As Washington is throwing someone not named Max Schezer. Nats are having Erick Fredde take the hill. He’s 2-3, 5.27 ERA and has nearly an identical record against the Phillies in eight starts. He gave up 5 runs on Wednesday against the Braves,  expect his struggles to continue. Take the over 9 but Phillies to get the win. 


Red Sox vs Athletics 

Athletics ML +115


We have a battle of number one team’s in their divisions. A division leading matchup as they would say. However if you ask me the Athletics are contenders the Red Sox are pretenders. The Red Sox offense is probably the best league at this point in 2021. They lead the league in runs and are  top three in hits. They are also coming off taking three of four from the Orioles this past weekend to give him the best record in the MLB. However the Athletics can’t be slept on after starting 0-6 they now are 21-15. After taking two of three from the Rays they will send out Chris Bassit. Bassit has had an average season with a 3.70 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched. He will have a challenge against the Red Sox offense but expect him to only go five before they call the bullpen. Boston will put out Nathan Evoladi out there who has a 4.62 ERA. He gave up six in just four innings against the AL Central worst team Detroit Tigers. Matt Chapman bat has been starting to catch fire for Oakland. The Athletics will be able to keep up with Boston if they have too. 


Angels vs Astros

The Angels took a game last night against the Astros that no one saw coming especially me. Angels went down 4-0 and watched me turn off the tube. After taking two of three from the Dodgers the Angels could have found a way out of their struggles. Mike Trout somehow got better at baseball. He’s batting .365 in 2021 which leads the league. The Angels will send Ohanti to the mound tonight. He will have his hands full with the Astros offense. They are second in runs, second in hits, and third in home runs in a home run league. Astros offense averages 5 runs a game that’s second in the league. You see the picture I’m painting here? The Astros have a really good offense. Yordan Alvarez has a batting average .345 which has been one of the most consistent in the league. However Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr who will have his hands full as well. McCullers Jr pitched well against the Yankees with six innings pitched only giving up three earned runs. The Angels offense ranks fourth in hits, while slugging an impressive .430 which ranks fourth in the league, with 46 big flys already. Houston has gone 2-3 in McCullers Jr starts in 2021. Expect the Angels to steal another one from Houston tonight as they get back on track. 


Marlins vs Dbacks 

ML DBacks -118

The DBacks and Marlins will be facing off in a bottom of the barrel divisional contest. Both being fourth in their division but are sending out their aces. Madison Bumgarner did throw a no hitter in 2021 but he’s had a rough season besides that. Bumgarner is 3-2 with a 4.91 ERA, and 40 strikeouts over 36 2/3 innings pitched. He will have an opportunity to bounce back against a struggling Marlins offense. That is regarded as one of the worst in the league. They are 17th in hits, 21st in runs, and 25th in homers. That’s performing above expectations if you ask me. Pablo Lopez will take the ball for the Marlins who is a young stud. He’s 0-2 on the season in just eight starts but shows a lot of promise. His last start was against the DBacks where he threw five shutout innings. The DBacks offense is amongst the top half in the league. Being 11th in runs and 12th in hits but Lopez has proven he can slow them down. Arizona has lost four of their last five but behind Bumgarner will get their second win of their series. Bet an Arizona win but a great pitching battle.

Were You Entertained? By Maybe The Greatest Game Ever How mad are the fans in Mexico City that LA got their game due to poor field conditions? What hell of game the 9-1 Chiefs and 9-1 Rams put on for us last night. The game lived up to all expectations, and more. MVP candidate Todd Gurley was hurt early in the game as he left the game around the 8 minute mark in the 4th, and didn’t get another snap until 7 minutes of game time after that. He had only 12 touches for 55 yards. Luckily his counterpart Kareem Hunt didn’t have a great game either, as he ran for 70 yards in 14 touches. Remember not great game to these Pro Bowlers standers. A task for the Rams to win was to win the turnover battle which they did, but came from a big help from young starting quarterback Jared Goff. Goff through no interceptions had 413 yards throwing, a 117 QB rating, a running touchdown, and 4 touchdown passes.
