Mid Point in The NFL, Here is Our Top Five Teams

Image
Mid Point in The NFL, Here is Top Five Teams 5. Steelers (4-2-1)- After starting 1-2-1 Pittsburgh looked like they were missing Le’Veon Bell more than ever they turned that ship around fast. They have three straight games over a top offense in the Falcons, a hot Bengals division rival, and beat up on the Browns who they tied when it looked like Pittsburgh was struggling. Pittsburgh has found a replacement in the backfield in house with James Connor who is third in the NFL in rushing yards. Big Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t look like he’s going to retire any time soon has he is sixth in the NFL with 2,290 passing yards. Big Ben loves using his favorite weapon in 2018 as Antonio Brown leads receivers in touchdowns with eight. The offense has not missed Bell as much as we might of thought they would in the beginning of the season. The Steelers continue their next man up mentality which still works. The offense ranks in fifth in points per game and fourth in yards per game, they have fi

Week 9 College Football Top 5 Rankings    Sorry about not posting that much this week but still have the Week 9 College Football Top 5 Rankings.    More changes coming in at the top 5 in the College Football world as Ohio State who was two last week falls 49-20 to Purdue. Now we have a new top five as these top four teams continue to fall. At five Ohio State’s longtime rival Michigan takes over. Here at Goat Talk we predicted Michigan at 4 in the playoffs, and the thought doesn’t seem that crazy anymore.  Michigan has been playing fantastic football from the defense side and offensive side especially from the play of the quarterback Shea Patterson. Michigan has responded great since that week one loss to Notre Dame. Michigan has the best one loss since it is to the third ranked team Notre Dame. With Michigan’s schedule if they only have that one loss with Notre Dame going unbeaten no reason for them not to be in the top four. LSU moves up to four as they top Mississippi State 1

Week 8 College Football Top 5 Rankings

Image
Week 8 College Football Top 5 Rankings 5.LSU 4.Notre Dame 3.Clemson 2.Ohio State 1.Alabama    Some big changes going on in the top 5 as LSU beat Georgia last week. LSU after being knocked out of the top 4 with a loss at Florida. The very next week they change their whole season right around with a huge 36-16 win over number 2 in the country Georgia. Now LSU has shuffled the rankings. LSU moves up to 5 because everyone’s lost behind them. Except for a team like NC State, Central or Southern Florida. LSU loss isn’t that bad since its to number 11 in the country Florida. They also have a huge win over Georgia. No one has the resume with one loss like LSU.  Everyone in the top 4 has remained unbeaten. Notre Dame moved from 5 last week to 4 now in the playoffs because they beat Pittsburgh, even though it was close they still pulled out the win. Everyone from our top 5 last week just moved up a spot expect for Alabama since you can’t move from 1 without losing. Clemson had a bye last week

Preseason/October Top 10 NBA Rankings

Image
Preseason/October Top 10 NBA Rankings 10.Pacers- The Pacers sneak into the top 10 with questions around other teams. If we knew how DeRozan would play in San Antonio, or where Butler was going or staying the Rankings would look different. However doesn’t change that the Pacers are contenders in the East. Victor Oladipo has shown last season he has the upside to be a top 5-20 player in the league if he puts the work in. They didn’t lose anyone but have also added Kyle Quinn, Tyreke Evans, and Cory Joesph which are great veterans presence. They brought Lebron James to Game 7 and I expect them to only improve. The Pacers will make sparks this season. 9.Nuggets- Denver finally has a team and a season to be excited about. They have a top backcourt in the league with it being young as well with Jamal Murray and Gary Harris. The Nuggets have one of the most slept on big men who is a top 5 center in Jokic. Last offseason they added Paul Millsap which seemed good but now it’s a fantastic mo

The Place of UFC Titles

Image
The Place of UFC Titles. Heavyweight- Well Daniel Cormier is the double champ of the UFC’s two highest weight classes, lets first start with Heavyweight. After Cormier took the title from Stipe Miocic (who held the most title defenses at Heavyweight in UFC history) and Brock Lesnar stepped into cage proceeding to push Cormier. It seems that Lesnar will get the next shot at the title after Derrick Lewis. However Lesnar can’t fight till January because of USADA suspension from UFC 200. Derrick Lewis the overnight sensation after his knockout of Alexander Volkov in the final seconds at UFC 229 with very entertaining post fight interview that made him take over the internet. With a win in his fight before that against Francis Ngannou which was very boring, and actually the least strikes thrown in a fight. It seems that Lewis will get the next title shot at UFC 230 as Dana White said on 10/9 “Its a done deal.” Many believe it should be Miocic since he does have the most

Colllege Football Week 7 Rankings

Image
Our College Football Week 7 Rankings 5.Notre Dame 4.Clemson 3.Ohio State 2.Georgia 1.Alabama    We have a new team in the top 5 this week as Notre Dame falls in a spot that LSU used to hold. LSU got beaten by Florida last week in a very highly competitive SEC matchup. Notre Dame knocks down their third top 25 opponent with a win at Virginia Tech. Notre Dame gets in as other teams lose but it’s like they don’t deserve the ranking. The defense has been coming up with stops, they have defeated Michigan, Stanford, and Virginia Tech all ranked at the time of play. They’ve had some close calls against a Vanderbilt team but not everyone is Alabama who blows almost anyone out by 40. Ian Book has been everything the Notre Dame Irish would want from their junior quarterback, as he has thrown for nine touchdowns, only one pick, with a 170.7 passer rating. The Fighting Irish are the real deal that’s why they are in the top 5. Clemson was at 5 last week but moves up because of the LSU loss, they

Goat Talk’s College Football Week 6 Rankings

Goat Talk’s Week 6 College Football Rankings. 5. Clemson 4. LSU 3. Ohio State 2. Georgia 1. Alabama Some shakeup in the playoff race for us. Nothing has changed who the top 5 teams are from last week, just so who would be just our top 4 teams to be in the Playoff. Alabama remains number one in the country, as they dominated Louisiana Lafayette 56-14. Georgia also stays at two with a 38-12 win over Tennessee. Alabama and Georgia the two National finalist last year don’t look like any team can challenge them for those spots thus far. Ohio State shows what makes them an elite program. As they pull out a win on the road against a top 10 team in the country in Penn State. A game that could of knocked them out of the playoffs turns into a game that shows the heart of Ohio State in a big in conference win. Now LSU over takes Clemson at 4, the final playoff spot. LSU dominated Ole Miss 45-16, and continue to surprise and impress people in college football. Clemson almost loses again to Syra

Goat Talk’s NFL Quartley Top 5 Teams

Image
Goat Talk’s NFL Quarterly Top 5 Teams    Now after four weeks a quarter of the regular season is finished, so after the first four weeks here’s our top five teams in the league. Basically who are our Super Bowl favorites after the first four weeks. 5.Patriots 4.Saints 3.Jaguars 2.Chiefs 1.Rams Our top 5 doesn’t have any dark horse candidate like most NFL Rankings have. Like the Ravens, Titians, or Panthers. Since we don’t believe they will be around at the end of the season. The Patriots are at 5 even though they are 2-2, and other teams do have better records than them. However they still have Tom Brady and Bill Belichick while also being in a such a weak division they’ll be in the playoffs. Once you get a ticket to the dance it becomes about who your quarterback is, if you didn’t know they got the best to do it. They need to get a better pass rush as they are 29th in the category, with very few weapons for Brady. If Josh Gordon stays active we think they can be dangerous es
