All bets through FanDuel

Celtics vs Nets

Nets spread 12.5

Over 233

Kyrie Irving 30+ PTS with win +260

Kyrie Irving top scorer +600

Yes no shocker here but the Nets will take Game 5 and avoid going back to Boston. Somewhere they really don’t want to play after Irving’s bottle incident with the fan. Irving stepped on the leprechaun logo and will step on the Celtics 2021 season. Irving will pop tonight against his former team. Irving is petty. Probably the most in the league. Irving will look to have a superstar night against the Celtics. Bet his friends will let him. Irving will score lots of points in the close out game against the Celtics. Yes -12.5 points seems to be a lot of points to cover but Brooklyn is the pettiest team in basketball they will look to make a statement behind that juggernaut offense. The Celtics stole game 3 and don't expect something of that magnitude to happen again. Kemba Walker is doubtful, making Boston’s job harder to score. The only way they keep the game close if Tatum has 60. He may have 30-40 but to be honest with three other superstars doing the same the output won’t matter as much. However the Nets weakness is their defense giving the Celtics chances to score. The last three games have hit the over in this series. Take the over in game 5 as well. The Nets walked to the second round to play the Bucks in round two behind Irving’s great night.

Blazers vs Nuggets

Blazers +116

Over 225.5

Lillard 35+ Pts with win 460+

The series is tied up at two apiece as the third seeded Nuggets will host the six seeded Blazers in a Game 5 matchup in Denver. Portland avoided going down 3-1 to Denver with a Game 3 blowout 115-95 victory. The Blazers managed to win big even without their star guard Damian Lillard shooting 1-for-10 from the field with only 10 points on the night. Lillard did have 10 assists but it was CJ McCollum and Norman Powell who led the scoring. Shooting a combined 20-for-34 from the field that was a 50 point total between the both of them. Jokic had a terrible Game 5 from the Nuggets. The MVP needs to bounce back to take a 3-2 lead over Portland. Jokic averages 22.8 points per game on 64.9% true shooting (.547/.344/.833) with 11.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game in playoff Game 5s. Jokic usually has Murray in those games he will need to be better. It's especially hard to doubt Lillard will have back to back terrible playoff games. Jokic will ball but so will Lillard. The 35+ point total doesn’t scare me with Lillard he’s going to ball out. The Blazers' iso ball style was struggling as Lillard struggled to hit tough shots. That won’t happen twice. The Blazers will take Game 5 behind Lillard, McCollum, and Powell. Since in my belief that Lillard will ball take the over. Denver hasn’t been playing fast like they did in the regular season. The Nuggets are the fourth-slowest paced in the NBA in the playoffs. Meaning they take their time but also have been scoring a dramatic amount of points. However take the over as these teams may go to overtime in a hard fought contest.

Lakers vs Suns

Lakers +168

Under Over 208

Andre Drummond 15+ PTS\win 870+

We saw the Suns steal a game in LA in Game 4 on Sunday with a 100-92 victory over the Lakers to tie up the series at 2-2. The Suns Devin Booker only scored 17 points but banged up Chris Paul had 18 points with 9 assists and 0 turnovers. Paul combined for 18 points for the first three games as he is dealing with a nagging shoulder injury. Paul's game was limited in Games 1, 2, and 3. Paul looked much better in Game 4. Which could change the series. Especially since injuries are playing a huge role in the first round. Anthony Davis is expected to miss Game 5 with a groin strain meaning more opportunity for Drummond but more work for Lebron James. Many are doubting James can carry his team once again because he’s older, injured himself in 2021, and just isn’t James of 2016. However betting against James with his back against the wall is crazy to me. Bet Lakers take tonight’s Game 5 being the underdog. James' supporting cast is better than the Cavs cast. Veterans Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell both have a 129 or better offensive rating and an 83% or higher true-shooting percentage in the series. Expect them to step up tonight in Game 5 along with Drummond. Many are going under in tonight’s game because of Davis' absence. However, that affects their defense more than their offense. Meaning more scoring for both sides. Both teams were ranked in top ten efficiently in the regular season but 208 is not a lot to clear. Expect both teams to clear but the Lakers will take the win.
