March 22nd Daily NBA Betting Picks
March 22nd Daily NBA Betting Picks
Not great odds in tonight’s matchups. The Celtics being an underdog against the Grizzlies could be a nice pick if you trust the Celtics which is hard in 2020-2021. The Thunder being +134 underdogs against the Timberwolves could be a steal. Here are the three Goaty picks of the day, the risk it for the biscuit pick, and the shepherds pick which is a pick I’ll definitely be betting.
The Daily Three
The Kings (-4.5) vs Cavs +166
Take Under 223.5
The Cavs are playing their second game of a back to back. They will be out some players do to a back to back. The under is 4-1 the last five times the Cavs have played off a back to back. The Kings don’t score many points. They are a bottom 25 team in offense. They have been the under five of the last six times. The Cavs are last on points per game. Take the under.
Thunder +130 vs Timberwolves (-3.5)
Take Under 227
Yes majority of the time if the Timberwolves are favorites you bet against them but not here. The Thunder are very inconsistent. To be honest when these two are underdogs which is often my personal bets go towards them a lot. Why? Because they are both two young teams with good young players that on any regular season NBA night can cause problems. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is becoming a star point guard averaging 23.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game. However the Thunder are in the bottom ten in scoring in the last five games. The Timberwolves are playing a lot better as of late. Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns both scored 40 in the win over the Suns last week. They are 3-3 in their last six but in all the games. Even without D’Angelo Russell. These are two teams that are in the bottom tier in the league. The Thunder are in the top five in scoring and the Twolves are in the bottom ten. It’s a toss up who shows up and they played two competitive games already. Spitting the series thus far. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sat out Sundays game with a sore shoulder expect him to be back but if not the under is guaranteed.
Raptors (-8) vs Rockets +275
Take Raptors to cover -8 spread
Yes we will beat the drum of betting against the Rockets until the damn thing breaks. The Rockets are clearly basketball’s worst team. Toronto is finally getting healthy again and the Rockets are somewhat too. However Eric Gordon will be out. They however will have PG John Wall, SG Victor Oladipo and C Christian Wood back. Expect their minutes to be restricted. Siakam has been struggling making Woods a bad matchup. Siakam is still a tough matchup and see this one turning into a contest. The Rockets are last in shooting the three while the Raptors are tenth. The Rockets haven’t covered since January don’t expect that tonight either.
Shepherds Pick
Clippers (-6.5) vs Hawks +215
Take Over 225.5
The Hawks have been playing great being 8-0 since firing Lloyd Pierce. Since Nate McMillan stepped in at head coach the Hawks have been playing at a different level. Not because of the offense which most would think however their defense has been incredible. In the last five Atlanta ranks second in opponents PPG and opponents FG%. The Hawks will be without Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter. Reddish missing is a big deal for the defense leading the team with 1.3 steals a game. The Clippers are expected to have a full roster besides Ibaka and Patrick Beverley. They are shooting about 3% higher from the field than what the Hawks give up. The Clippers are ranked fifth in threes. While the Hawks may rank in the bottom in threes made but shoot 34% from three when they do shoot. Pretty average but they can shoot especially with Trae Young. Los Angeles and its opponents have hit the over in 23 of 43 games this season. Take the over with this one as Paul George and Kawhi Leonard will take home the win but Young and the Hawks won’t go away lightly.
Risk It For The Biscuit
Celtics +166 vs Grizzlies (-2)
Take Under 219.5 and/or Celtics +166
The Celtics and Grizzlies are both playing .500 level basketball. The Grizzlies are 19-20 and the Celtics are 21-21 this season. Meaning you can’t count on them being consistent. Making judging their last couple outings hard. The Celtics are 6-4 in their last ten. With five those coming the way of the under. The Grizzlies however are 5-5 in the last ten with eight of those being unders. These teams are very similar in a lot of areas except the Celtics are way better at rebounding. Don’t really see it as a game where Ja Morant or Jayson Tatum score 40 each in an offensive explosion. Especially since the Celtics are coming off a back to back. Kemba Walker is out which would also lead to less scoring. Expect a low scoring game.
Good luck sports bettors. Probably a lot of parlays or quick picks tonight but it’s Monday let’s get going in the right direction.
