Bills vs Colts Wild Card Round Preview
The Bills and the Colts will kick off the 2020-2021 NFL Playoffs in Buffalo at 1pm EST. The Bills are coming in hot on a 6 game winning streak with wins over the Steelers, Patriots, and Dolphins on that run. Josh Allen is playing out of his mind in 2020 with 45 total TD’s, 5th in passing yards with 4,544, and 3rd in league QBR with 81.7. With absolutely outstanding QB play from the Buffalo quarterback his play also made us see some of the full potential of Stefon Diggs. The Bills traded for former Vikings receiver in the 2020 offseason and you don’t need know what they traded away for you to know he was worth it. Diggs has boosted the Bills receiving core and passing game. The Colts however are a tough out. They definitely are not a 7th seed you want to see. The Colts game plan is clear its protect Philip Rivers, run the ball, and use that great defense to stop Allen or contain him by keeping the opposing offense on the sideline. Which is what they’ll have to do against the 2nd overall offense in points and yards in the Buffalo Bills. The Colts do take up the run tough and protect the QB style. They do it well with being 3rd in sack percentage on their QB in 2020. They protect Rivers by giving him time behind Quinton Nelson and that great line which he needs in his older age. The Colts will need to take advantage of their chances since they will be limited with the Bills. The Bills are 8th on defense on 3rd down and the Colts are 22nd as an on offense on 3rd down. The Colts will need to go against the stats to win this game. Indy will run the ball a lot with Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines. The Bills know the Colts game plan well the grandma at her Indiana home knows the Colts game plan. It’s what they’ve done to win games and it’s the best plan to beat a Super Bowl favorite Bills. The Bills will look to do what they do best give MVP candidate Josh Allen the ball and let that defense get in the opposing QBs face. If they can oppose their game plan the Bills will roll over the Colts. Don’t expect Buffalo to run much with Devin Singletary as they are second in passing offense but 20th in rushing. For the first playoff game in Buffalo since the 90s this one could be fun for Bills mafia.
