Top 5 Players in the Western Conference

Top 5 Players in the Western Conference
1. Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers): Um do I need to explain?
2. Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans): Yes a pick at two that some might not believe especially since we have three MVPs behind him. However these are the top players going into the season and no besides Lebron is more dominate and valuable to their team than Anthony Davis. Davis averaged more points, rebounds, and had better FG% than KD. After Cousins went down he only improved, took down the third seed in the West with Rondo and Holiday on his team. Davis changes whole games from all parts of the court. Without him the Pelicans would be rebuilding at the moment and that’s why he is the second most dominating player in the West.
3. Kevin Durant: KD has always been looked at as the second best player in the world behind Lebron for a decade. Yes in our opinion KD has lost that top spot to Anthony Davis because Davis can score and also play great lock down D. However doesn’t take away from KD’s greatness two time Finals MVP and former NBA MVP still can score a lot and fast. He’s probably a top three scorer of all time so we can not say anyone else is better than him in the West or in the league at scoring. An all time player indeed.
4. James Harden: The reigning MVP is at four in the West because you were most valuable doesn’t mean you were the best or most dominate as Lebron has proved. Harden took his Rockets to the Conference Finals before losing to the Warriors after his team missed 27 threes in a row. He’s got handles, maybe the best iso player, and finisher at the rim. Harden does score a lot from the line, and without Chris Paul his team looked clueless that’s why he drops to 4.
5. Steph Curry: The greatest shooter of all time, two time MVP, three time NBA Champ, and the center piece and driving force behind the Golden State Warriors. Accolades is not a problem for Curry but injury is. Yes Curry can shoot from wherever, he can pass great, and he is a great leader. His injuries though is what hurts him...no pun intended. However you can’t be the best player in the room if we are not sure if you’re able to even show up. Curry’s ankle is only getting worse and it does affect his play.
