Athletics vs Blue Jays

Take Athletics -126 if you play money line

Take over 9

Blue Jays are bad on the road when being the underdog being 4-10 thus far. Jays are hot winning 7 of the last 10 with three of those coming in the last 3 games. Anthony Kay starts for the Jays in his second start he was roughed up for 5 runs in his first start. Kay had a 5.45 career MLB ERA. Expect the AL West leading Athletics to jump on them early. However Athletics starter Cole Irvin has been known to give up runs as well. Irving had an imaginable 17.18 ERA with the Phillies last season. He posted a quality 6 IP 3 ERA start last time against the Rays. He’s also striking out at least 8 batter a game. Irvin is the slightly better starter that’s why go with A’s. .

Angels vs Rays

Take Rays +102

Take over 8.5

The Angels have been really struggling going 4-6 over their last ten. After a 7-3 loss to the Rays on Monday they send struggling Alex Cobb to the mound. Cobb has been off to a rough start, having a 7.16 ERA. Lucky for him the Angels are 3-1 in those games, and the Rays are one of the worst scoring teams in ten bigs. Rays will send youngster Shane McClanahan who gave up two runs in 4 innings. The Rays get better at hitting on the road as they go from average 3.1 runs at home to 5.7 on the road. The Angels have hit better at home though. Their average increases from .409 on the road to .471 at home. With these two starters expect runs and the Rays to win in a bullpen contest.

Royals vs Indians

Over 8.5

Indians +116

The AL Central leading Royals will be hosting the Indians on Tuesday. Royals go to Mike Minor who has an era of 5.25 in about 26 innings pitched. He gave up four runs to the terrible Pirates last Wednesday but somehow like Angels Cobb the Royals are 3-1 in his starts. Minor also gets the privilege in pitching against an offensive in Cleveland that has a batting average of .210 against lefties. Advantage Royals. His matchup with be going against Indians 24 year old lefty Sam Hentges who will be making his first start of the season. Royals are a much better hitting team at home which this game is averaging two more runs a game (3.1 to 5.8). Royals are very good as the favorite thus being 9-3 but to me the Royals aren’t for real. Maybe this is the time the they start to fade. That’s my bet. Jose Ramirez and Carlos Santana are going to have big games. Against a youngster in his first start he’ll have a short lease. Minor is struggling. Indians will break through against the Royals and take the win. The over will definitely be hit even with a bad Cleveland offense.

Mets vs Cardinals

Take under 6.5

Mets -205

Jacob Degrom is on the mound for the Mets after being named the pitcher of the month in the National League. The Cardinals will have to work hard for runs but apparently so will the Mets. They are one of the worst teams in supporting their ace. Degrom is 120th in run support this season. You thought they were bad last season they were 21st at least not they’re triple digits. Fransicon Lindor the 380 million dollar man can’t hit his body weight. No seriously he’s hitting .160 he’s definitely more than 160. However over the last couple games JD Davis, Alonso, and McNeil have hit better. Maybe they can give those 5 runs they gave Joey Lucchesi last night. The Cardinals offense has been hot since starting off slow. Matt Carpenter is finding his bat again and Harrison Bader has made the lineups way better. The bats will have to come alive against the best pitcher in baseball. That’ll be challenge as well since their starter will be making their second start. The Cardinals will send Johan Oviedo to the mound. He pitched well the other day with a 4.2 IP outing. I think Oviedo will pitch well, that's why you should take the under. How we Mets will win with Degrom on the hill but taking Cardinals isn’t crazy.

Braves vs Nationals

Take over 9

Nats +116

Today’s pitching matchup is Nationals Erick Fedde (2-2, 4.43 ERA) against Braves Max Fried vs (0-1, 11.45 ERA). Yeah take the over. Don’t see these starters stopping these two offenses. Especially the Braves offense. Nats offense is hot right now. Nats Yadiel Hernández replaced Juan Soto when he went to the IL. Since being called to the big leagues the 33 year old rookie has hit 435/.500/.565. That’s really good. However the Nats will of course have the struggling Freddie Freeman to always worry about. Acuna is going to be a league top 3-5 player by July maybe. However Braves Austin Riley has been hitting well. In his last 13 games Riley has been hitting 488/.588/.756 with three home runs, a pair of doubles, and six RBIs, walking six times and striking out 12. Nats struggling staff outside of Scherzer will have a lot to worry about. However, take Nats they are hot and Braves are not.
