4-2 yesterday on MLB picks (Should have picked Phillies like I originally wrote down) However we are here to talk about the NBA today. 


76ers vs Wizards 

76ers -8.5 Spread 

Simmons 10+ Assists/ win +255

Tobias Harris 25+ points/win +255 


Yes we all know that the 76ers are more than likely going to win the series that’s clear. Especially after game one. The 76ers star Ben Simmons had less than ten, MVP candidate Joel Embiid was in foul trouble keeping him off the floor, the Wizards shot 56% from the field, and still lost by seven. Everything went right and Washington still lost. That’s why we should

expect the 76ers to cover the spread. Of course at some point Embiid put the struggles behind him which led to him scoring 30 points, shooting 9 for 16 from the field. What really is taking people off guard is that Harris shot 15-of-29 from the field for 37 points. Harris has been solid all season for the 76ers. Take the bet he will score more than 25 in the win tonight. Harris has been excellent since being paired back up with Doc Rivers. When Harris was with Rivers in LA he had his best shooting season. That picked right back where they left off in Philly in 2021. With the pass first Simmons, Harris has finally found a role in the 76ers offense. Harris is a big mid range shooter. The Wizards are the worst at defending the mid range. Actually the worst in the league giving up 46% from the mid range. Ben Simmons on a poor shooting night had 15 rebounds and 15 assists. Bet that he reproduces ten or more assists as Harris and Embiid will be fed. The 76ers will win big behind Harris and Simmons. 


Knicks vs Hawks 

Knicks -134 ML 

Take over 213

Trae Young Top Points Scorer +130 

Randle +10 rebounds 250+

RJ Barrett +15 PTS/ Win 164+ 


The Hawks managed to take out the electricity of a very electrified Madison Square Garden crowd in Game 1. When Trae Young hit the game ending shots to seal a 107-105 win for the Hawks to take a 1-0 lead. Yes the Hawks took game one but to me that was just one win. The series will be hard fought and will go six or seven. The Knicks are 5-1 when betting the under but for me the 213 number is too low to take the over in Game 2. For me, for the Knicks to cover the 2.5 point spread is a big bet. Take the Knicks in a straight moneyline pick being a slight favorite. Game 2 will be another nail biter but you can bet that Randle won’t be so bad shooting from the field. You can bet that Alex Burk won’t be the leading scorer for the Knicks. You can bet Barrett will have a way better night. Expect the Knicks to take a close game one to get their first playoff home win since 2013. It’ll be a fun one in the Garden expect a Knicks win and better play from Randle and Barrett. 


Grizzlies vs Jazz

Grizzlies cover spread 9.5 PTS 

Over 213 

Donovan Mitchell 25 PTS/ Win +124+ 

Bojan Bogdanović 25 PTS/ Win 340+ 


Yes the Grizzlies did what most 8 seeds fail to do they won a game against the league’s top regular season record team in the 1st seed. The Grizzlies upset the Jazz at home last time out. Behind a Dillon Brooks 31 points and a JA Morant 26 points performance. However the next level coaching by Jazz head coach Quin Snyder is what kept the Jazz in the game. Rudy Gobert fouled out early in the 4th and Mitchell missed the game with an injury. Jordan Clarkson, the obvious 2021 Sixth Man of the Year only produced 14 points off the bench. Utah also who scored the most threes per game and shot the fourth best in the league percentage wise from three went 12-47 from three. Even with all the bad even then the Jazz still only lost 112-109. Jazz Bojan Bogdanovic led the scoring for the Jazz with 29 points. Utah swept the regular season series from the Grizzlies. Expect more of that play in Game 2 when Mitchell comes back. Many are predicting a blow out but not me. Mitchell will need to find his legs first but the offense and defense for the Jazz will improve regardless. However the Grizzlies are feeling themselves and playing good gritty basketball. Jazz will win a close one so expect Grizzlies to cover the spread. Mitchell will have to score over 25 for a Jazz win so bet that. Also expect Bogdanovic to have a big night. The over/under is at 213 for this game except that to go over. The Jazz will score more than Game 1, and these teams averaged 226.5 in their four matchups in 2021. Pick the over and the Jazz to win but take the spread for the Grizzlies.

  Goat Talk’s AFC 2021 Predictions     Finally we the public have made the journey to the time of year we all really have been waiting for. We finally won't have a Sunday without football until February. Yes we will have preseason games starting next Sunday. So that means one thing: it's time for predictions. These are not my final picks however. These are my picks before the preseason starts. My final picks will come out in the week before the Cowboys and defending Super Bowl Champions Buccaneers go head to head to start the season on September 9th. World Series Preview

World Series Preview Well we have finally made it baseball fans. The day we have all been waiting for; we have gone through regular and postseason. 14 teams have been eliminated from both the AL, and 14 from the NL. That leaves us with just 2 teams left in the fall classic. The Astros and Dodgers will go at it in Game 1 of the World Series tonight in Los Angeles at 8:09 EST. This 7 game series is high anticipated as both teams had different paths to the promise land. The NL representatives Los Angeles Dodgers have been nothing but dominate this postseason; only losing 1 game this postseason. Also a dominant regular season posting a 104-58 record, best in the MLB. After constant speculation over the past few years on how the Dodgers couldn’t get it done; with such great teams.
