College Football Week 5 Rankings

Image
Week 5 College Football Rankings 5. LSU 4. Clemson 3. Ohio State 2. Georgia 1. Alabama We have knocked Oklahoma out of the top 5 because Army bringing them to OT. That’s back to back weeks that Oklahoma has been tested by a non top 25 team. Iowa State only lost by 10 and now Army. We put LSU 5 because they absolutely deserve it. They went to Miami and upset them in week 1. Dominated their below top 25 teams, and beat a top 10 team in Auburn. Clemson has fallen to four because of there lack of schedule, and Texas A&M bringing them to the brink of falling out of the top 5. Clemson has also made a quarterback change which also raises questions. Ohio State three because they beat a top 25 team at time in TCU, while also being dominant in their other 3 games. I believe Ohio State is the midwest team that can test an SEC team in the National Championship. Georgia and Alabama to me is self explanatory final two last season, and they have been everything in the word dominate...

Is Tiger Woods Back?

Image
Is Tiger Woods back? Oh man, oh man, oh man, is Tiger Woods finally back? Is the day all young and old golf fans finally here? Have we reached the light out of the tunnel? Is the dark days of Woods not being any of kinds of relevant finally over? Well we can’t tell you the future but there is finally hope for Wood’s fans that he is indeed back. Going into the final day of at the East Lake golf course as we all waited for in anticipation to finally see Woods win again he sat at top of the leader board with a one-over-par 71 and at 11 under. Saturday he finished two shots ahead of runner-up Billy Horschel. Sunday Woods rose to the occasion like the second best golfer of all time should. The 42 year old veteran hits for par on his final hole at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta to clinch his 80th victory of all time, putting him two behind the all time record, and 13th ...

Record Doesn’t Matter For Pitchers Jacob Degrom is Your Proof

Image
Jacob Degrom is the league’s best pitcher if it wasn’t for his record the NL CY Young award would be given to him as we speak. Voters are skeptical to give Degrom the CY Young award because of his 8-9 record at the moment. These judges or voters are probably related to the judges that thought Canelo won on Saturday night. The voters that think the record is a big deal for the pitcher are the same people that think home runs are more important than runs batted in. Your job as q pitcher is to put your team in position to win the ball game, and the reality of the situation is that sometimes the offense just doesn’t get it done. Not getting done for Degrom is putting it lightly. We were going to write the article or piece on the  NL CY Young and the candidates but we don’t think it’s a question who’s the best pitcher in the NL in 2018. Degrom has struck out 250+ batters on his CY Young campaign. He’s one of three Mets pitchers to ever to do that others being “The Franchise” Tom Seav...

College Football Week 3 Rankings.

Image
College Football Week 3 Rankings. 5. Oklahoma 4. Ohio State 3. Georgia 2. Clemson 1. Alabama We are knocking Wisconsin out of the top 5 completely. Not because what they have done but what other teams have accomplished. Oklahoma has played better competition in their blowouts in UCLA and Lane Kiffin’s FAU. Ohio State has also dominated their opponents but they are without their head coach Urban Meyer. Wisconsin still very much so in Playoff discussion.

NL MVP Race

The MLB season is at its one of the best parts the race for the playoffs and we are seeing the finalist for the season’s MVP. We are giving our final three for the NL MVP tonight.  Christian Yelich:     During the offseason the Brewers made a trade for Christian Yelich trading away a couple of prospects for the young outfielder. Well the move was more than worth it at the point we are in the season. The goal in getting a player like Yelich is maybe he’ll breakout or at least contribute good numbers to a run at a playoff spot. He has done more than give good numbers to the Brewers. If the Brewers wanted to be in a playoff race well they got one and it wouldn’t be without the help from the MVP Candidate and the steal of the offseason in Yelich. The Brewers are an average offense in 2018. It doesn’t get as average as the Brewers as they rank between thirteen and sixteen in batting average, RBI’s, hits per game, and home runs for a team. ...

Week 2 College Football Top 5

Image
Week 2 College Football Top 5    5. Ohio State    4. Wisconsin     3. Georgia     2. Clemson Alabama Our Top 5 has stayed the same. Some may wonder why as Ohio State scored 77 points but they were playing against Oregon State. They also gave up 31 points to Oregon State in the huge win. Everyone ahead of them as well had huge wins against below par opponents. So we are keeping our Top 5 from last week with Ohio State knocking at the door for that fourth slot.    By Matthew Doherty

NFL Predictions 2018: Division/Wildcard Winners, Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Awards

Image
NFL Predictions 2018: Division/Wildcard Winners, Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Awards AFC Divisions East Winner: Patriots- They may have the worst receiving core in the Belichick/Brady era but that still doesn't take away that they have 2017 MVP five time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady under center. Bill Belichick is still the coach and even without Brady the Patriots in years past have proven they can play without some key players and still win. The division is very weak with Miami, Buffalo, and the Jets being in it. Giving the Patriots another easy path to the division crown. West Winner: Chargers- The AFC West seems to never be a toss up for who is going to take the crown home with them and but this year is different. Over the last eight seasons only the Chiefs and Broncos have won the division. However the division has always produced as six teams have made the playoffs out of the West division over the past four years. The Chargers have the most reliable quarterback in the...
